Who we are
Layoh is a product of Studio Bres (Sidney Bresser), Rotterdam, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 42180800. Studio Bres is responsible for the personal data described here. Questions? Email hello@layoh.com.
The waitlist
When you join the waitlist we keep your company or publication, your email address, the plan you prefer and the date. We use them for one thing: to tell you about the launch of Layoh, early access and the founding offer. You get one confirmation email when you sign up.
Legal basis: your consent (article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any moment by replying to any email from us or writing to hello@layoh.com; we then delete your details.
We keep waitlist details until launch and at most 12 months after it, unless you become a customer.
The contact form
When you send us a message we receive your name, email address, company (if you fill it in) and your message, to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering questions (article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep messages for at most 12 months after the conversation ends.
No cookies, privacy-friendly statistics
layoh.com places no cookies and uses no advertising trackers or outside analytics services. We do keep simple statistics on our own server, to see how the site is used: which pages are visited, where visitors come from (the website that linked to us), the type of device, the browser language, and which parts of the page are used (for example how far people get in the animation, or which plan they look at).
We do this without identifying you. We do not store your IP address. To count visitors, your IP address and browser type are turned into a code together with a random key that is thrown away every day, so we can never recognise you on another day or link the statistics to you. If your browser asks sites not to track you (Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control), you are not counted at all. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the site (article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Statistics are kept for at most 24 months.
To protect the forms against spam we briefly keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, for at most one hour, without being able to trace it back to you.
Who else is involved
- TransIP (the Netherlands) hosts this website and our email. Like any web server, it keeps technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security, for a limited time.
- Adobe Fonts (Adobe, United States) supplies our typeface. Your browser loads it from Adobe, which means Adobe receives your IP address. Adobe is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
We never sell your data and never share it with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a usable format. Email hello@layoh.com; we reply within a month. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Security
The site only works over an encrypted connection (https). Form entries are stored on our server outside the public part of the website and are only accessible to us.
Changes
When the app launches, a separate privacy statement for the app will follow. If this statement changes, the date at the top changes with it.
